Season’s Greetings! Today marks the first day of my holiday series, O’ Christmas Tea. Every Friday until Christmas, I’ll be posting a review for a tea that sparks my holiday spirit. Some, I’ve tried before, but others are completely new to me. In the month ahead, I’ll be drinking chai, peppermint, and all the other flavors you think of when someone puts on a Bing Crosby song. Today’s drink is the Creme Brulee tea from The Spice and Tea Exchange. I got this a while back at their store in Disney Springs, and now it’s time to share it with y’all.

This green tea is packed with cinnamon, rosehips, and cornflower petals, finishing with natural creme brulee flavor. Since it’s a loose leaf tea, I’m using my Just Ducky tea infuser to steep my cup. It’s the cutest gadget I have in the kitchen, and it makes tea time even more fun.
The tea smells so sweet, and it reminds me of a sugar cookie. However, without sugar, it tastes slightly floral but is overall neutral. After two tablespoons of sugar, the flavor transforms into a warm, comforting vanilla custard. It has all of the sweetness and flavor of a homemade creme brulee. It’s simply perfect for a cold winter day!

No matter what holiday you celebrate, tea can unite us all this year. Next week’s tea will spice things up while providing another classic holiday flavor. It’s one I’ve never tried before, so we can experience it together. See you then!
