Greetings! It’s been a hot second since my last post. My grandparents are visiting, so I’ve been enjoying a lot of warm cups of tea with them, and reviews have only been in the back of my mind. However, I’ve been preparing another review for you all over the last few days. Today, I’m talking Thai iced tea. It’s so yummy, but so hard to get from the comfort of your own home. I love stopping into my favorite boba shops and grabbing a cup of it, but sometimes I just don’t feel like making the trip. I’ve been experimenting with different styles of at-home Thai tea, so allow me to share the findings of my first adventure.

Wangderm Authentic Thai Iced Tea comes in sachets, which are my go-to

for quick and easy tea time. After steeping for just three minutes, I could smell the aroma of sweet, vanilla spices that are a hallmark of good Thai tea. But even when I added some sweetened condensed milk, it wasn’t sweet like in tea shops. I concluded that they must add more sweetener, so I did that as well.

Once I poured it over ice, it was a magnificent bright orange. My grandma was really surprised, since she had never seen a tea that color. It was time for the final taste-test. I found that it was just as refreshing as store-bought, and it had a nearly identical flavor. The sweet and mild spices weren’t overpowering, yet had vibrant flavor.

All in all, I would definitely drink this tea again. It was a good replica of my favorite boba drink -- so good that I can substitute it for the real thing. This review has also given me a delicious idea for a new recipe… I look forward to sharing that with you in the future. Until then, I’ll see you next Friday, as I kick off my holiday series!
